As a child, I spent many summers at my grandparent\u2019s farm. My grandmother taught me how to preserve vegetables, pickle anything that grew, and cook meals for the hardworking farm boys. Sometimes, I got to \u201chelp\u201d the boys with the chores, loading hay bales in the field and cleaning fish from the pond. My cousin, Michael, and I had untold adventures in the pastures, driving three-wheelers, chasing cows, and climbing trees. I can still taste the fresh apricots, warm from the summer sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The years went by and I got married and started a family of my own. In 1999, my grandparents decided it was time for them to move to town and asked if my husband and I were interested in the land. After several months of discussion and consideration we jumped in and \u201cbought the farm\u201d in the fall of 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I enjoyed summers with my Grandparents and cousins on the farm. The only granddaughter with seven male cousins, I was quite the tomboy!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
