All our animals are raised outdoors on pasture using humane animal welfare practices and as few additional inputs and commercial feeds as possible.

While some of the grounds were used for row crops, no chemicals or pesticides have been used for over 2 decades. We practice management intensive, rotational grazing, moving our goats and cattle to a fresh pasture paddocks weekly to optimize animal health, soil health, and–ultimately–your health.

We strive to farm alongside nature, rather than fighting against it. We care for the pollinators, migrating birds, wildlife, and vast diversity of microbial and fungal biology within the soil just as much as the plants and animals we eat.

Kiko Goats

We raise commercial, crossbred, American Purebred, and New Zealand Purebred Kiko meat goats. We offer does and bucks, registered with the American Kiko Goat Association, AKGA. Kiko Goats are hardy, have good maternal instincts, and are aggressive foragers. We strive to offer top-notch breeding stock for any situation. Many of the herd sires we utilize have had performance data collected on them or their offspring. Our herd is in a constant state of improvement, working towards creating some the most robust meat goats available.

Red Angus Cattle

Our purebred Red Angus cattle come from a proven line of quality livestock from Hoft Red Angus Farm near Ellsworth, KS. The Pflughoft family has spent years testing, culling, and creating a trustworthy animal that grows well on forage without using commercial feeds. We purchase steers from Hoft and finish what they started! The cattle rotate through paddocks after the goats have cleared the brush and weeds.

Kune Kune, American Guinea Hogs and Tamworth Pigs

Our heritage pork breeds, pastured most of the year, spend their days wandering through the fields and lounging in the sun. As part of our rotational grazing, the pigs do their part to clean up the ground covers and less desirable forage. Their diet is supplemented a local feed and we are investigating options for non-GMO and organic feeds.

The Farm Hidden Springs Farm is a small family operation nestled in gently rolling hills in Marion County Kansas and covers about 80 acres with spring-fed ponds. Using sustainable, regenerative farming techniques and rotational grazing to improve livestock practices, we raise goats, cattle, pigs, and chickens.
